The Hierarchy of Evil and The Pecking Order in Again My Life

THE HIERARCHY

OF

EVIL

AND
THE PECKING ORDER

IN

AGAIN MY LIFE

On 9 March 2022, SBS unveiled stills of the criminals in the upcoming drama, Again My Life. The images and descriptions point to a hierarchy of evil in AgainMa. Lee Joon Gi plays Kim Hee Woo, an upright prosecutor who is determined to root out the evil forces in society. In the drama, evil, which is all encompassing, reaches out its tentacles everywhere. Politics. Prosecution. Justice. Education (High School-College-University). The Media. Business. Banks. Finance. Showbusiness. The Military. Industries. Everything is horribly wrong.

Kim Hee Woo has a clearheaded and piercing view of the challenges facing the country. With the fate of the country hanging in the balance, what is his strategy of bringing law and order back to his country? He has to combat the forces of evil.

THE PECKING ORDER

1. Jo Tae Sup, the most powerful politician, played by Lee Kyung Young (61), would be at the top of the hierarchy. The government is weak, so it is impossible to expect that his power and influence would wane. In fact, the powerful criminal mastermind, like a gigantic venomous centipede who has many evil aides and lackeys, has no qualms about indulging in rampant corruption, evil and perverting the course of justice. But, surely Kim Hee Woo would make mincemeat out of him in the finale. Lee Kyung Young starred in numerous dramas and films including, The Pirates, Minority Opinion and Inside Men.

2. Kim Seok Hoon, the ambitious Chief Prosecutor of Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office who aims to be the next Prosecutor-General, is played by Choi Kwang Il (51). Kim is the father of Kim Han Mi, his illegitimate daughter, played by Kim Jae Kyung. Choi starred in Hometown, Lovers of The Red Sky and The Uncanny Counter.

3. Prosecutor Jang Il Hyun is played by Kim Hyun Mook (48). He is Kim Seok Hoon’s Assistant and Choi Kang Jin’s junior. Kim Hyun Mook acted in VincenzoThe Crowned Clown and The Fiery Priest.

4. Kim Jin Woo, nicknamed Little Jo Tae Sup in the political arena, is Jo Tae Sup’s long-time henchman and aide. The cold-blooded and intelligent strategist is played by 43-year-old Kim Young Hoon who acted in Mad Dog, Dr John and Spring Waltz.

5. Dr. K, a cold-blooded mystery killer with great fighting skills, murdered Kim Hee Woo in his first life. It is expected that there would be at least two intense fighting scenes between Kim Hee Woo and Dr. K, the first being the defeat and murder of Kim Hee Woo, and the second would be when Kim Hee Woo wreaks total vengeance on Dr. K. The assassin who probably lives in the shadows is played by 43-year-old Hyun Woo Sung who starred in Graceful Family, The Two Mothers and Stormy Woman.

6. Prosecutor Choi Kang Jin played by Kim Jin Woo (41). A leader of the Department of Law at Korea University, Choi worms his way into Kim Seok Hoon’s affections to become his right-hand man. Born into the entertainment industry, he easily develops romantic relationships with entertainment stars. His love liaison with Sung Jin Mi, an actress, is wrecked because of his sexual indiscretions.

One wonders how the talented, smart and shrewd Kim Hee Woo is able to deal with this overwhelming web of evil. To defeat Jo Tae Sup and his clique of evil cronies, would Kim Hee Woo, the righteous prosecutor, be forced into an uneasy alliance to get his hands on incriminating evidence against them?

The advice of The Grim Reaper or The Angel of Death comes to mind. TO CATCH THE DEVIL, YOU MUST BE WILLING TO BECOME THE DEVIL.

Imagine a Cat and a Rat in bed together. What strange bedfellows. What about a big Cat (Tiger Kim Hee Woo) and a small Rat (Jo Tae Sup)? Undoubtedly, the new and transformed Kim Hee Woo would have the competitive edge.
