From the media reports, K-Drama fans have learnt that the drama, Again My Life, helmed by Han Chul Soo, has diverged from the manhwa. If it is true, it would complicate the story. It seems that Kim Hee Woo, the protagonist in the drama, played by megastar Lee Joon Gi, has travelled back fifteen (15) years in time to 2007, the year of the Global Financial Crisis. He is supposedly twenty years old. It means that Kim Hee Woo was 35 years old when he died. If he time-travels back 15 years, it will be a big departure from the manhwa. Is this misinformation? According to the manhwa, 42-year-old Kim Hee Woo (who was born in 1980) was murdered in 2022 and time-travelled back 25 years to 1997. He then appeared as a 17-year-old High School student.
Probably, in the adaptation, Kim Hee Woo travels back to 1997 but the story opens in 2007. His life from 1997 to 2007 is told in backstories. If not, it's difficult to guess how the story has been adapted from the manhwa to the screen. Could the drama have features of a video game or what?
Again My Life revolves around the Politics, the Prosecution Service and the Economy
of the country. The story focusses on Real Estate, the far-reaching consequences of the 1997 Asian Financial
Crisis and 2007 Global Financial Crisis, and the rise of the wealthy and the powerful. With it, there is also a rise in crime, corruption and evil, particularly in the political, business and prosecution world. Kim Hee Woo, drawing on his
knowledge and experiences from his previous life, rises to be mentally, financially and physically powerful enough to take on Jo Tae Sup.
