Lee Joon Gi's No Carb Diet secret went viral when
Jung Sang Hoon, a host on Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, a KBS 2 variety
programme, revealed it to the audience on 18 March (Episode 119). The
weight-reducing diet that actually works was the trending topic on the
internet for days. It must have surprised many people that 40-year-old Lee
has been keeping to the strict diet for six years. His diet started when he
starred in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo in 2016.
Lee’s youthful looks and chiselled jawline as well as his slim,
svelte, taut and athletic physique, bear testimony to the success of the
diet. Jung Sang Hoon, who is Lee’s co-star in the upcoming SBS drama, Again
My Life, generously prepared a dish made of tofu and chicken and offered
the recipe to his friend to spice up his strict diet. Tofu, which contains
high amounts of protein but minimal amount of carbohydrates, is popular with
people who want to lose weight.
