Lee Joon Gi recently awakened Asia to Longchamp’s latest collection at their launch party at Taipei 101. The evening of 15 May 2019 marked the introduction of Longchamp’s dynamic interlocking nine-letter LGP monogram which is a distinctive new feature of the French brand’s products. The monogram was plastered all over the Longchamp flagship store in Taipei 101. An estimated 500 over spectators, men and women, mostly comprising passionate fans and the Asian media, were on hand to witness the grand occasion.

The Asian superstar with a huge legion of loyal fans which spans the world, particularly Asia, was the biggest draw of the event. The launch party, no doubt a huge success, resembled a movie or drama awards show with the strong presence of the cheering crowds.

Earlier in the afternoon, hundreds of Lee’s enthusiastic and passionate Taiwanese fans had come out in full force to welcome him at the Taoyuan International Airport. Despite a two-hour flight delay, there was a rising crescendo of screams upon his appearance.

Airport fashion. When Lee arrived at the Taoyuan International Airport, he wore a blue long-sleeve shirt paired with black pants and shoes. He flaunted his striking new black and white Longchamp travel bag. Earlier, at the Incheon International Airport, he had actually donned a denim jacket over his blue shirt. He looked absolutely gorgeous with or without the jacket. On his return to South Korea, he wore a Longchamp white and black monogram logo backpack low on his back. And, as usual, the actor gave a lively, cheerful and fun-loving vibe but this time, he probably shocked a few travellers with his curly hair and shocking red lipstick. Think - ‘An actor with a thousand faces’. As he walked towards the departure lounge, the blue tartan jacket that he had casually wrapped around his waist swayed like a skirt. He deserves applause for being insanely funny. On the white T-shirt that he wore was emblazoned with the word ‘Provoke’. He has made a provocative statement: an amazing contrast between his high fashion backpack and his street wear.

Well, Lee’s special brand of humour matches Longchamp’s new contemporary look which has been injected with a sense of fun.

On arrival at the Incheon International airport, he wore a captivating pale corn colour shirt.

The Longchamp event was one of the awesome moments of Lee Joon Gi’s modelling career. It was exciting to be part of the launch of new products and new ideas. The Longchamp monogram and products are all in his favourite colours – red, white and black. The black Longchamp jumper with the new logo that Lee wore for the occasion matched his black pants and black shoes.
