Studio Dragon, the production company of Arthdal Chronicles 2, sent a food truck to the team – the cast and crew of the television series on 24 August 2022. There was only a solo image, a short video clip of the food truck, accompanied by background music from Poem of Destiny. No other pictures were available. It must be a real disappointment for Lee’s fans since they enjoy mulling over the delicious snacks and the variety of beverages that are delivered to his filming sites.

The gorgeous, magnetic, multihyphenate and multi-awarded Lee Joon Gi who plays the MALE LEAD CHARACTER of Arthdal Chronicles 2, will portray the twins, Eun Seom and Saya while the beautiful and talented Shin Se Kyung, the FEMALE LEAD, will play Tanya. Fans have swooned with delight as the dynamic duo are the perfect actors and advertisement for the sequel.

Lee Joon Gi, The King of Television Dramas, has been riding high in popularity and fame. His numerous drama masterpieces, including Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Lawless Lawyer, have put him in the global spotlight. Lee made drama history when his astounding television series, Flower of Evil, spawned two adaptations, one Indian, the other Pinoy. The impending worldwide streaming of the original drama on Netflix on 24 September 2022 will greatly raise his profile. Besides, his recently released television series, SBS’ Again My Life, has garnered high ratings and glowing global reviews.

Undeniably, Studio Dragon has pulled off a major coup by roping in Lee Joon Gi, the all-time favourite of global Kdrama fans, and popular Shin Se Kyung to revitalise and rejuvenate Arthdal Chronicles. Lee, who has established a visible heavyweight reputation as Wang So / Emperor Gwangjong in the historical-time travel drama, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, has what it takes to be the MALE LEAD and carry the fantasy-historical television series. It was a gutsy move on the part of the production company, and the news of the casting had whipped the media and the internet into a frenzy.

Recently, Lee Joon Gi caused a sensation with the short dance video that he posted on Instagram. It was in fulfilment of his promise that he would dance for the viewers should his television series, Again My Life, surpasses 10% viewership. It is not surprising that Lee is now hot property.

Filming experts, Production Director Kim Kwang Sik and Choi Chan Min, the Director of Photography, have also been hired to add originality and creativity to the show. The retention of the screenwriters Kim Young Hoon and Park Sang Yeon ensures continuity of the ancient saga. A new, intriguing and spicy script is expected for the sequel.

It is noteworthy that Studio Dragon has literally altered the landscape of their country to realise their vision of a historical Bronze Age for Arthdal Chronicles 1. It is awesome to see the existing stone and wooden constructions in Osan. The production company will certainly not allow any of their earlier efforts to go to waste. The structures had been built in the likeness of the imagined architecture of the ancient times.

Will the tale now move into the Iron Age? New buildings are rumoured to have been added in preparation for the filming of Arthdal Chronicles 2.
