THE PROMISE
OF
A VIDEO GAME

The global Kdrama world has been set on fire with the news that the executives of Studio Dragon moved ahead with Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 but with a drastic change in the cast and crew. In the clearest indication of Studio Dragon’s position, the sequel to Arthdal Chronicles gets off with a winning start with the signing on of the universally-loved-and-approved gorgeous and multi-talented Lee Joon Gi, and the talented and beautiful actor-singer-model-YouTuber, Shin Se Kyung, to lead the 16-episode Arthdal Chronicles Season 2. It was a unanimous decision. The radical changes, including roping in Director Kim Kwang Sik and Cinematographer Choi Chan Min, make a lot of sense as they are all very impressive in their own fields of work and between them, they have bagged countless awards. Expectations run high with the changes. An Arthdal Chronicles video game is now in the works. It is expected that Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 will
ignite a change that is radically different from the telling of the other historical
tales that have graced the small screen. The sequel of the television series,
pivotal to the future of the television broadcasting industry, is expected to be ‘spectacular,
wild, thrilling, magical, different and entertaining with lots of epic action’.
Lee Joon Gi, who has changed the face of television with his
masterpieces – Time Between Dog and Wolf, Arang and The Magistrate,
Joseon Gunman, Moon Lovers-Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Lawless Lawyer, Flower of
Evil, Again My Life, ecetera, has sent thrills of anticipation among global
viewers with his involvement in Arthdal Chronicles Season 2. They are
excited about how Lee would portray the twins, Eun Seom and Saya.
When one visualises the real hero of Arthdal Chronicles
Season 2, Conan the Barbarian comes to mind. Covered up, of
course. Not in loin cloth like Tarzan, King of the Jungle. Conan, a
fantasy Cimmerian hero, from the mythical, fictional Hyborian Age,
has bedazzled movie goers since long ago. Will Eun Seom / Saya resemble
the ferocious and warlike Conan? Eun Seom, a hybrid warrior of Saram
and Neanthal (Neanderthal), is a hero of epic proportions who would
subdue his worst enemies. Would it also include his twin? Some drama enthusiasts
dream of a Machiavellian Saya. Arthdal Chronicles Season 2, the fictional tale of Eun Seom / Saya, set in a
mythical Bronze / Iron Age, will probably see brother turning against
brother. Perhaps the television series will present a picture of a wild
barbaric fledgling kingdom that would eventually lead to the rise of a mighty
empire. Lots of artwork connected to Lee Joon Gi, the first male lead,
have popped up on the Internet. Excited fans have created images of what they
think Eun Seom / Saya might look like in Arthdal Chronicles Season
