AGAIN MY LIFE
GREAT
BROMANCES
AND
ON-SCREEN CHEMISTRY
|
SBS Again My Life, a serious yet pretty hilariously funny
television series helmed by Director Han Cheol Soo, shows that real
friendships can be forged in a show. Some members of the cast of the 2022 drama
have become very close. Probably it’s because of the great on-screen
chemistry and sparks that have been generated during the filming of the show.
Many expect that the cast will come back for a second season. One can’t help but notice that the fast friends really had fun behind
the scenes while filming on location and the camaraderie has stretched beyond
the wrapping up of the show. The cast members seem to be a sincere and happy
lot. The cast, coincidentally, have been well chosen by Han Cheol Soo, the
director, and viewers would be happy to see them in another exciting season
soon. Those who regularly gather include the leading man himself, Lee
Joon Gi with Ji Chan (Park Sang Man), Kim Young Jo (Ji Seong Ho), Kim Hyung
Mook (Jang Il Hyung), Hyun Woo Sung (Dr K, the assassin), Hong Bira (Kim Gyu
Ri), Kim Jae Kyung (Kim Han Mi) and Kim Ji Eun (Kim Hee Ah). They are
sometimes joined by others, like Jung Sang Hoon (Lee Min Soo). The whole gang seems to be a hilarious lot in the generally light-hearted television series. At the recent outing, an early ‘year-end party’, they appeared
to have fun until the wee hours of the morning. Their relationship is so
close that they intend to meet again for drinks in the future. Kim Ji Eun is
missing; she seems to be busy with her new television series helmed by the
same director. One would have thought that winter has come to South Korea as
snow has been falling since some time ago. It seemed that Lee still went to the gym after the
get-together. BROMANCE LEE JOON GI-JI CHAN Lee Joon Gi and Ji Chan’s dynamic on-screen chemistry, which
hits the roof in the television series, extends into their off-screen life.
Little did the viewers know that their on-screen chemistry would be the
beginning of a great relationship between them. In the drama, the extroverted Park Sang Man bulldozes his way
into Kim Hee Woo’s life and gets himself ensconced in the prosecutor’s heart.
The constant bantering between the boss and his sidekick, caused by Park Sang
Man’s tendency to park his nose into his boss’ private love affairs, tickles
the funny bones. BROMANCE LEE JOON GI-JUNG SANG HOON In one of the lectures on the civil code, the university professor poses a question to the students. The intelligent answer of legal genius Kim Hee Woo impresses Lee Min Soo, another genius. Lee Min Soo has met his match so, naturally, he wants to cultivate Kim Hee Woo’s friendship. They share a strong bond as the target of both prosecutors is the evil Cho Tae Sub. Viewers can smell their chemistry from the very beginning of the drama. Sometimes, Lee Min Soo's behaviour seems bizarre. He even poses a provocative question during one of their conversations, ‘Do you want to marry me?’ Working in the same Prosecution
Service office in Seoul, Lee Min Soo, supposedly a spy for Cho Tae Sub,
invites Kim Hee Woo for a drink. They have a hilarious conversation, each
making witty and clever remarks. ON-SCREEN CHEMISTRY LEE JOON GI-KIM JI EUN Lee Joon Gi’s on-screen chemistry with Kim Ji Eun has been discussed
before. Kim Hee Woo and Kim Hee Ah’s sweet romance, though subdued, makes the
viewer achingly sad. The tension between them can be felt. Kim Hee Woo keeps his emotions on a tight leash. ON-SCREEN CHEMISTRY
LEE JOON GI-KIM HYUN MOOK
Lee Joon Gi’s on-screen chemistry with Kim Hyun Mook who plays Jang Il Hyun, the corrupt prosecutor, should also be highlighted. Kim Hee Woo and his superior were friends until their relationship turned ugly. Even though they had become enemies, both are pretty hilarious in their interactions, even at the trial of Jang Il Hyung. Viewers also love watching the mentor-mentee interaction between Lee Joon Gi and Lee Soon Jae (Woo Yong Soo). There are others who share a personal chemistry with Lee Joon Gi. Viewers still chuckle at the thought of the loving and humorous couple, Kim Chan Sung (Park Chul Min) and Lee Mi Ok (Kim Hee Jung), bickering with each other and also, with their son, Hee Woo. Again My Life, a serious yet intelligent and hilariously funny television series, written by Jay and Kim Yul, and adapted by Lee Byung Hun, is directed by Han Chul Soo and Kim Yong Min. It is produced by SamHwa Networks and CrossPictures. |
