LEE JOON GI

DIVULGES

SECRETS

IN

PAIK’S SPIRIT

Many of Lee Joon Gi’s global fans miss the superstar’s presence on the screen and on social media. Has he been planning to hide away like in 2019? The gorgeous actor had promised his fans that he would star in either a television series or a film once a year. It was disappointing that he broke his promise in 2019. Is he doing exactly the same thing this year?

But, the good news is that Lee will appear on Netflix’s upcoming show, Paik’s Spirit. In the food-related variety series, Baek Jong-won, a leading celebrity chef and restaurant entrepreneur, meets up with famous personalities who represent the various sectors of Korean society and engages them in stimulating conversations about life and other interesting topics while tasting food and drinking soju as well as beer. Paik is an alternative spelling of Baek's family name.

The host of the Netflix series has a wealth of experience as a professional food expert as well as an entertainer as he has been hosting many cooking shows. He is also reported to have 26 restaurant franchises with 1,299 branches across the country.

The show is scheduled to be released on Netflix and will be available for streaming in more than 190 countries around the world on 1 October 2021.

In the trailer, viewers notice that the obligatory preliminary greetings have put the megastar so much at ease that he has relaxed and dropped his defences, thus making him vulnerable to what they think is an unexpected turn of events.

Viewers are certain that Baek, the smiling and friendly host, is just waiting patiently to pounce on his delicious guest but first, he toys with his delightful food.

Baek is merciless towards the superstar when the latter least expects it. Lee’s face twists into a grimace when he sips the awful alcoholic drink offered by Baek.

Then, the ruthless Baek strikes. He brutally interrogates Lee, who is helpless by then after one too many.

‘You think that you’re not meant to get married?’ One isn’t sure about the actual conversation but the question posed is definitely not an idle but carefully designed one.

The super effective direct questioning technique is two-pronged; first, to wreak havoc on the actor, who is helpless and mentally woozy by then, and second, to arouse the insatiable curiosity of the viewers, particularly that of Lee’s fans.

Lee Joon Gi seems to have easily divulged the possibility that he might not marry for the time being, ‘I might remain single for a while.’

Many of Lee's Korean and global fans must be celebrating.

But, don’t be too happy. In order to understand what he is actually saying, one has to watch the Netflix show. Lee seems to have shared other secrets too.

Is Lee Joon Gi’s segment the first in the series or does one have to wait a bit longer?
