The Lee Joon Gi Splendor Family Day: Love Blossom concert on 14 June 2024 was a resounding success. The audience in the fully-filled 5,000-seat theatre-style hall were exhilirated. But, little did they know that they would be caught by surprise with the superstar’s exciting announcement about his upcoming Asia Tour which includes Taipei, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok in his itinerary. Thunderous screams of delight, excitement and pleasure and ear-splitting cheers rose to a resounding crescendo throughout the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention hall. Lee has never held a concert in Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta. The announcement also promised more surprises for fans. The audience also gave Lee Joon Gi a standing ovation.
                     
                                       
                                                    Lee Joon Gi took a trip to Bali, Indonesia on 23 May 2024 to shoot pictures for his new photobook. During his Splendor Family Day concert on 14 June 2024, Lee discussed the photobook and revealed that it would be published in late October. Fans might remember that in the 2022 Fantasy-Legal-Action television series, Again My Life, Kim Hee Woo, played by Lee Joon Gi, planned to visit Bali with his family, so fiction has turned into reality. Life immitates Art.
    Lee stayed in Nirjhara (Sanskrit for waterfall), a luxury resort located in the midst of the jungle. He had a fun time experiencing Balinese culture. He seemed to have enjoyed dancing by the poolside, strolling along the beach and trekking through the lush greenery. He even tried the thrilling Jungle Swing. He returned to South Korea on 27 May.
                https://www.facebook.com/leejunkithaifamily/videos/1853165321860342/              It is interesting to note that in recent years, production companies from many countries have adapted Lee Joon Gi’s much-lauded iconic television series Lawless Lawyer and Flower of Evil. it is an indication of the great performance of the original actors, particularly Lee Joon Gi, the high qualty and popularity of the television series, interesting stories, themes and values that serve as lessons to the viewers. Lee Joon Gi always sets the television screen on fire. His performances are nothing short of spectacular or amazing. Fans have every reason to be proud of him. He delivers what he sets out to do – to entrance us with his magical performances.
The adaptations take inspiration fom the original but probably, a slightly fresh spin is put on them. People have fond memories of the dramas. Lee’s televisions series are unique Korean classics or will become classics. They are legacies that many directors would try to surpass.
The Phillippines and India have adapted the massive hit Flower of Evil. China is the latest to join them. The Thais have adapted Lawless Lawyer. 
                      Other than these television series, the Japanese have also adapted one of Lee Joon Gi’s television series, Two Weeks.   The Japanese Two Weeks, directed by Keita Motohashi and Kento Kuichi, starred Haruma Miura as the leading actor. It was broadcast on Fuji TV and KTV.
 Thai television company GMMTV revealed plans to produce Scarlet Heart Thailand on 23 April 2024 and that Kaniiha Kwanyu will direct the series, and Tontawan Tantivejakul as well as Metawin Opas-iamkajorn will lead the star-studded Scarlet Heart Thailand cast. They are set to start production by the end of 2024.
Like the South Koreans, the Thais are adapting the novel, Bu Bu Jing Xing by Tong Hua. This is the third drama adaptation of the Chinese novel, Bu Bu Jing Xin. (Bu Bu Jing Xin, the Chinese television series; Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and Scarlet Heart Thailand). But, it is likely that the Thai version would be more like the Korean drama than the Chinese drama. Scarlet Heart Thailand will be released by the GMM25 network.     The Chinese describe Bu Bu Jing Xin as a Romance-Historical Fiction-Chuanyue (Time Travel) television series. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo is a also Historical Fiction-Time Travel-Romance television series. They are not Fantasy shows.
                                   
                                    Any mention of Lee Joon Gi’s Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo will make fans, who are neck deep in nostalgia, sentimental. It will pull them back a moment in time to the past when they were completely under Lee Joon Gi’s spell. Is a sequel in the pipeline? The fans have been waiting for a long time. Perhaps, they have to petition for that second season.  Lee Joon Gi’s amazing television series will always be an inspiration to global viewers.

That’s right. Such a stunning and intelligent idea. That was the topic of the paper presented by Digna Delfino and Jomari Echano of the De La Salle University in the Philippines on 22 May 2024. It is significant that Lee Joon Gi’s television series have been singled out for praise. Since his rise to fame in The King and The Clown in 2005, Lee Joon Gi, the multi-talented Top Actor-Action Star and Entertainer (Singer-Dancer) has been selective and careful about the roles that he plays and the television series that he is involved in. He chooses his television series meticuluously and prioitises the positive effects they have on society.
 Moral Integrity and Justice are very important issues. The many important life values embodied in Lee Joon Gi’s television series like Gunman in Joseon (2014), Moon Lovers-Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), Criminal Minds (2017), Lawless Lawyer (2018), Flower of Evil (2020), Again My Life (2022) and The Sword of Aramun (2023) provide many of life’s lessons and are worth discussing in the classroom.     These days when children are growing up stunted because of their diet of feather-brained celebrities and their frivolous dramas with filmsy values, special attention should be paid to intelligent and meaningful television series and the important values espoused by them. The heroic qualities of the men and women in the television series like courage, loyalty, dignity, responsibility and accountability should also be explored in the classroom.
 Children need special nourishment for their mental, emotional and spiritual health. And Lee Joon Gi’s television series can decidedly satisfy these needs.
