It is quite evident that Lee Joon Gi is treated like royalty by his fans. The enormous success of his 2023 Splendor Family meeting aka singing concert at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall, one of the largest convention halls in Japan, is, in part, due to his passionate and dedicated Japanese fandom and by extension, his global fandom. His global fandom also contributed in some form or other to his Splendor Family fan meeting which was held on 5 May 2023. Undeniably, Lee’s fandom is unlike any other. One finds it impossible to think of Lee Joon Gi without his fans.
The three levels of the Pacifico Yokohama hall were fully packed with Lee's enthusiastic fans. The hall, which has an adjustable stage, can accommodate more than 5,000 seats. It was reported by the Japanese media that the event saw him entertaining more than 5,000 fans.

Paintings and sketches of Lee Joon Gi were publicly exhibited. The fans even put up his posters on boards along a passageway at the meeting venue which they called Lee Joon Gi road. Fans could pin love messages on sticky notes on one of the boards. It was amazing that the meeting was so meticulously planned down to the last detail. Which other actor can boast of such an extraordinary fandom?

THE CAESAR CAFE EVENT  After the fan meeting, Lee Joon Gi took a trip down memory lane. He went for a walkabout in Shibuya. Shibuya seems to have a place in his heart; he had made two trips there previously - in 2013 and 2019.

 Before that, Lee reciprocated the warmth, love and devotion his Japanese fans have been showing to him. He visited Caesar Café in Yokohama where his photos were beautifully decorated on the walls of a corner of the eatery by his fans, and certain parts of the cafe were adorned with some Lee Joon Gi memorabilia. The manager of Caesar Café promised to make a special sign to commemorate Lee’s visit to the place and his fans were invited to visit it.

   BARBECUE RESTAURANT  Lee probably had his lunch in a Korean barbecue restaurant. It seems that Lee took another meal at an undisclosed location.  SHIBUYA
Shibuya is said to be a shopping paradise and an entertainment mecca. It was unfortunate that when Lee headed out to Shibuya, it was raining. But Lee Joon Gi still presented an amazing sight as he stylishly posed wearing his trendy green hoodie, white shirt, black pants, matching black and white shoes while holding his black umbrella. A dazzling fashion model will forever be a dazzling fashion model even without his runway. Awesome!   STARBUCKS SHIBUYA
It would not have been surprising if Lee had taken shelter from the rain in Starbucks.
  DON QUIJOTE SHIBUYA When Lee Joon Gi was younger, he also visited Shibuya. In 2013, when he was there, he indicated that he wanted to blend in with the crowd and mingle with the locals. It is understandable that it is difficult for a celebrity to move around without being noticed. But in a fast moving society where people seem to be constantly in a rush, it is easier to walk unnoticed among them. Lee must have visited Don Quijote then.

Many fans know that Lee went to the Mega Don Quijote Shibuya Store when he held his fan meeting in Yokohama in 2019. The Shibuya store is the largest Don Quijote discount store. The discount store chain, also known as Don Don Donki, has over 160 stores in Japan and many overseas stores as well. It strives to be the ultimate one-stop bargain shop. The layout is chaotic but the customers treat their visit there as a shopping adventure.
The unconventional discount store chain is unlike other stores which sell expensive goods. Does the name Don Quijote have anything to do with its business principles? The name brings to mind the story of Don Quixote, a Spanish epic novel written by Miguel de Cervantes. The character of Don Quixote is ‘typified by a romantic vision and naïve, unworldly idealism.’
   Lee seemed to be having fun in Don Don Donki, just like he did in 2013 and 2019. In 2019, he performed a funny dance in the store. His long-term love affair with karts amuses his fans.

Lee’s fans also reported that he dropped in at Doutor Coffee Shop, a European-styled café, in Shibuya Centre-Gai, probably for some coffee.

Lee had one of his meals in New Light which is located in Miyashita Park in Shibuya.

Lee ended the day in a sky restaurant with a beer and a toast to his adventures. In the background is the Tokyo Tower. A symbol of Japan's postwar rebirth as a major economic power, the tower is the world's tallest self-supported steel tower. The actor probably stayed in a hotel room with a view of the famous tower.
THE RETURN TO SOUTH KOREA  Lee returned home to South Korea on the QT, quietly and without fanfare. He posted on Instagram aerial pictures of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji which he took on his return flight.

The past week had been hectic for the multihyphenate – the wedding of You Seok Moon (a member of the Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon team), the wrap party to celebrate the end of the filming of the fantasy-action television series, the Splendor Family Day meeting in Japan and his walk down memory lane in Shibuya. No wonder Lee had exclaimed on Instagram, ‘What a week!’
