  One can imagine why Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon is the most anticipated television series of 2023. There was a surge of excitement when Studio Dragon, the production company first anounced that new blood would be introduced to give the television series a new lease of life. Changes were made due to serious considerations. The excitement reached a crescendo with the naming of the renowned leading male and female actors who would replace the previous pairing. The formidable Lee Joon Gi, the greatest Korean actor of all time who is passionate, tireless and possessed by a deep work ethic, and the reputable Shin Sae Kyeon were carefully chosen to lead the star-studded cast. Lee Joon Gi has been called 'The Legendary Hero' by Ellemen, a Hong Kong magazine, and Waves China points out that he is 'More Than Outstanding'. The multihyphenate actor, who has been cast to lead the multi-million dollar ancient fantasy-action epic is the perfect fit for the dual role of the twins who had been separated at birth. Eun Seom, the classic legendary hero, and Saya, the anti-hero are destined to change the history of Arthdal forever. The casting coup orchestrated by the production company resonated with the public and the global viewers.
It is foreseen that the overhaul of some of the cast and crew
would change the trajectory of the television series and give a fresh
perspective to the war-based sequel. Transformation and Uniqueness will be
the keywords of the story. When maverick Director Kim Kwan Sik joined the winning
team, the equally talented Director of Photography, Choi Chan Min, with his team
of experts, also joined him.
Senior accomplished actors Jang Dong Gun (Tagon) and Kim Ok Vin
(Taealha) were reported that they would reprise their roles as the ambitious
and evil villians. First-rate scriptwriters Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who were retained, completed the
Dream Team.

Since no information has filtered through and none is privy to
the details about the tale, one can only imagine the tale in one’s mind. Only
4 official pictures of the 4 main actors have been released and nothing more.
Others are the art works of fans.
Barbarian as well as human blood run in the veins of the Igutu twins,
Eun Seom and Saya.

  The tide is turning and there will be a dramatic change in the tale. There are great expectations that the compelling television series, which will teem with startling stories and anecdotes, will be like no other in the South Korean drama world. Eun Seom, the handsome, sexy, masculine and powerful younger twin, is an alpha male warrior with the heroic look. He would jumpstart the war against Tagon, the evil and power-hungry Pretender, the fake Aramoon / Inaishigi. The half-barbarian warrior would muster an army, a coalition of 30 tribes, to vanquish Tagon. Arthdal would be embroiled in a war that would plunge it into darkness. Eun Seom will emerge victorious and his triumph will mark a new dawn.
SAYA THE ENIGMATIC PRINCE
And what about Saya? Saya is an enigma. Like Eun Seom, he has
his own charms. He is gorgeous, intelligent, well-read but perhaps, malicious,
crafty and twisted. He has read all the books in the tower, 'The Fortress of Fire' where he had been
confined since young. A caged intellectual. He might turn out to be philosophical or
poetic. A Poet Prince or A Philosopher Prince. But, he could have secretly
learnt martial arts. He might have evolved into the Machiavellian Prince. It will
be difficult to read his mind.
Playing the dual role of the twins, Eun Seom, the classic warrior-hero, and Saya, the Machiavellian anti-hero fits the versatile Lee Joon Gi like a glove. Lee, with his sexy looks, magnetic aura, irresistible charm and mesmerizing charisma, will be spellbinding in his double role.
The legendary actor’s portfolio is stashed with many movie blockbusters and television hits, like The King and The Clown, Resident Evil: The Last Chapter, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Lawless Lawyer, Flower of Evil, Again My Life et cetera. The King and The Clown Lee's breakthrough role of Gong-gil in The King and The Clown launched him into international stardom and popularity. Helmed by Director Lee Jun Ik, the 2005 movie sold 12.3 million tickets, an amazing feat then and even now. Its worldwide gross is US$74.5 million. The movie, the director and the cast won a string of local and international awards. It was reported that Director Lee Joon Ik called Lee Joon Gi, ‘A Gift Sent by God’ at one movie event.  Ever since that fateful effeminate role, the versatile actor has played vastly
different characters, including masculine roles and has gone on to bag more international and local awards. The King and The Clown has since been declared The Best Film in the 100-year history of Korean Cinema.

Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon talks about Kanmoreu, the heavenly horse, who would assist Eun Seom in his fight against his enemies including Tagon. Since the magical Kanmoreu is expected to be a permanent fixture in this sequel, the actor who plays Eun Seom must be a horse lover and skillful horseman. One can think of no other horse-loving expert horseman actor who could work more effectively and successfully with horses than Lee Joon Gi.
Since The Saguek King has many equine co-stars previously, he has become an equestrian who is never short of interaction and communication with horses. Being attuned to horse psychology, Lee is able to read their body language. Lee seems to have developed a respect for horses; his photos taken with them through the years show the warmth and love between man and animal.
