Lee Joon Gi Returns To His Beloved Hometown, Busan, To Film Again My Life

LEE JOON GI

RETURNS TO

HIS BELOVED

HOMETOWN

BUSAN

TO FILM

AGAIN MY LIFE

Korea’s Top Actor-cum-Top Action Star, Lee Joon Gi, has been spotted filming Again My Life in Busan, his hometown. Some naughty people have leaked photos and short video clips of the filming session. The behind-the-scenes footage shows the superstar in an exciting action scene at the Busan port. It is well-known that Lee performs all high-level stunts by himself without a stunt double. The video clips and photos were taken in the wee hours of 25 January 2022.

Busan is located at the southeast corner of the Korean Peninsula. It is the second-largest city in South Korea.

Fans wonder if Lee would be speaking the Busan satoori dialect or regional dialect in Again My Life. If he is, there are some Busan satoori phrases that will help fans relate to their beloved Busan oppa or their superBusan actor. Three interesting satoori phrases have been picked for you.

NUMBER 1

oiso, boiso, saiso

오이소, 보이소, 사이소 (oiso, boiso, saiso) meaning ‘Come, See, Buy.’

‘oiso, boiso’ seems interesting. 'Come, See' these.

NUMBER 2

jim-chi

In Busan dialect, kimchi is pronounced 짐치 (jim-chi).

NUMBER 3

(Hey)

According to https://thesmartlocal.com/korea/busan-dialect/ the word “” (ma) in Busan dialect has the same meaning as the word “” (ya) in standard Korean. You’ll commonly hear this in dramas when characters call out to each other.

In English, it means “hey”. Both and are used in an informal setting.

Sounds familiar. Was “” the word which had arisen from Lee Joon Gi and Kim Ji Eun’s banter about shortening Again My Life to 어마라 Amala  or 어겐라Againla?

Recently, a teaser-trailer of Again My Life trailer was released. It has inordinately impressed and vowed the public and fans alike. They are gushing over Lee Joon Gi’s performance and also the action scenes. To sum up, the consensus is, ‘Again My Life will be the 2022 masterpiece’ and ‘The Biggest Kdrama of the Year’’. Those who have not watched Lee Joon Gi’s dramas or movies must watch it and they will certainly give up all pretence of indifference. They would be ‘oohing and aahing’ all the way over his performance.

The 16-episode legal-action-fantasy drama, Again My Life, the most highly anticipated 2022 drama which is directed by Han Cheol Soo, will premiere in the first half of 2022. It is scripted by J and Kim Yul, and adapted from Lee Hae-nal’s web novel of the same name by Lee Byung-hun. The SBS drama is produced by Samhwa Networks and Cross Pictures.

AGAIN MY LIFE

ON VIU

Again My Life can also be viewed on VIU. VIU must come up with an easy online streaming subscription guide. Many future subscribers need help on “the how to’s” subscription procedure.

VIU offers six of Lee Joon Gi's dramas.

Iljimae (2008)

Gunman In Joseon (2014)

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016) VIU original

Criminal Minds (Korea) (2017)

Flower of Evil (2020)

Again My Life (2022) VIU original coming soon

LEE JOON GI'S DRAMAS (MISSING TITLES)

If you SEARCH for Lee Joon Gi's name, the drama Criminal Minds and Gunman in Joseon are not listed under his works.  Only 3 titles are listed under his name: Iljimae, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Flower of Evil.

CRIMINAL MINDS

Moreover, it is disappointing to note that although Lee is the most globally famous actor in Criminal Minds and the only actor to have received an award for his role in the 2017 drama, the face shown on the advertisement poster on VIU is that of a supporting actor.

FLOWER OF EVIL

Strangely, Flower of Evil is not on display for viewers to watch. You can only access it through 'SEARCH'.

GUNMAN IN JOSEON
The title in English is missing.

The Lunar New Year is fast approaching. The fans who are busily following Lee Joon Gi’s every move are happy that he might celebrate Seollal, the Korean New Year in Busan. Seollal falls on the same day as Chinese New Year on 1 February (Tuesday) 2022.
