Lee Joon Gi’s name stands synonymous with greatness, making him the undisputed best actor Korea has ever produced. In the fiercely competitive world of Korean entertainment, few actors manage to carve out a legacy as profound and far-reaching as Lee Joon Gi’s. His career is not just marked by critical acclaim and box office success but by a unique combination of acting prowess, martial arts mastery, global influence, and deep fan devotion that few can match. When evaluating the best actor in Korea, Lee Joon Gi stands alone at the pinnacle, an artist whose talents transcend borders, genres, and typical measures of stardom.
Lee Joon Gi’s acting career demonstrates exceptional range and depth, earning critical acclaim across genres. Lee’s ability to transform completely into each role, delivering nuanced and deeply emotional performances, has set a new standard for Korean actors. The actor’s genre versatility is legendary. From his groundbreaking role as Gong-gil in The King and The Clown - which revolutionized Korean cinema and redefined gender fluidity on screen.
From his gender-fluid, iconic performance as Gong-gil in The King and the Clown (2005) - a film that revolutionized Korean cinema (The Best Film in the 100-year history of Korean cinema) - to the psychologically complex and morally ambiguous Do Hyun Soo / Baek Hee Sung in Flower of Evil (2020), Lee Joon Gi consistently delivers layered, transformative performances. Lee consistently demonstrates great acting depth, range, and transformation. His ability to inhabit drastically different personas - from the tragic, layered Wang So in the 2016 Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo to in the 2020 Flower of Evil, cements his status as a master of emotional nuance and physical performance. These aren’t ‘safe’ roles; they require vulnerability, stamina, and precision.
Lee Joon Gi, known for extraordinary range: action, historical drama, romance, thriller, comedy, even cross-dressing, is more than outstanding. His versatility, unmatched acting range and depth is legendary. Lee Joon Gi’s groundbreaking role as Gong-gil in the historical masterpiece, The King and The Clown revolutionized Korean cinema and redefined gender fluidity on screen. The King and The Clown is written by Choi Seok Hwan and directed by Lee Joon Ik.
Lee won many coveted awards in his 2005 breakout role for The King and The Clown, a milestone that elevated him to superstardom: 2006 Baeksang Arts Award for Best New Actor, 2006 Grand Bell Awards for Best New Actor, 2006 Korean Film Awards for Best New Actor, 2006 Golden Cinema Film Festival for Best New Actor. 2006 Grand Bell Awards for Popularity and Korean Wave Popularity Award, 2006 Korean Youth Festival for Best New Actor, 2006 Max Movie Awards for Best Actor, 2007 Hawaiian International Film Award for Rising Star Award, 2007 Shanghai Film Awards for Overseas Stat Award.
2006 Blue Dragon Film Awards for Best On-Screen Couple Award (with Kam Woo Sung), The days when “The King and The Clown’ became a social phenomenon, it was truly a miracle. The King and The Clown sold 12.3 million tickets domestically and propelled him to Asia-wide stardom, a major commercial and cultural moment in 2005 – 2006. In terms of raw reach and blockbuster success Lee Joon Gi leads - driven by massive international ratings and buzz.

Wang So later ascended the throne as Emperor Gwangjong. The global audiences are impressed with Lee’s emotionally complex portrayal of Wang So in Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, which became a cultural phenomenon across Asia; his range is extraordinary. He won an international award for Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, the Best Actor award from KKTV Taiwan. Lee is not just a Korean actor — he is a local and global cultural icon, a living legend, and the benchmark by which others are measured.
Written by Cho Yoon Young and directed by Kim Kyu Tae, Moon Lover: Scarlet Hear Ryeo was sold at the highest price at $400,000 per episode to China, an unsurpassed sum, beating Descendants of the Sun (RM 250,000). Lee Joon Gi became an Asian Phenomenon with the 2005 film, The King and The Clown but with his 2016 Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, which featured Lee as Wang So, he became a global name. Wang So was a role that topped international fandom charts. Lee and the television series secured multiple awards and accolades in Taiwan, the USA, and elsewhere making him a Global Phenomenon. With Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), Lee Joon-gi delivered what is widely regarded as one of the most iconic performances in K-drama history. His emotional range: shifting from cold, intimidating 4th Prince to a deeply vulnerable man in love is extraordinary. His tragic arc left a long-term emotional imprint on viewers worldwide, something that is rare for even the biggest dramas. Lee’s on-screen chemistry with IU became a cultural touchstone; clips and GIFs of them still circulate nearly a decade later. Passionate fans built a community about them which ran into thousands of pages in the now-defunct Soompi Forums. In 2016, Wikipedia reported that there were 2.5 billion views in China but someone had erased the data and replaced it with something else. Likewise, someone in Wikipedia slyly reported it was 70% instead of 73% viewership in Singapore and Malaysia. 73% is nearly three-quarters of the viewership which is an astronomically high percentage making it a blockbuster television series. No television series has reported such a statistic. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_Lovers:_Scarlet_Heart_Ryeo Reference {12} in Wikipedia is not true. This person in Wikipedia is trying to pull wool over the reader's eyes. There is no proof at all that the record was beaten.
According to Showbiz Korea (05.12.2016), the members of its audience have chosen Lee Joon Gi as South Korea’s Top Action Star. With his role as Commander Lee in Resident Evi: The Final Chapter, Lee Joon Gi not only cemented his status as Korea’s Top Action Star but further increased his fame as a Global Action Star. https://thefandometrics.tumblr.com/post/151349081384/musicians-in-the-celeb-list-celebs-in-the-music https://forums.soompi.com/en/topic/378975-drama-2016moon-lovers-%E2%9D%A4-scarlet-heart-ryeo-%EB%8B%AC%EC%9D%98-%EC%97%B0%EC%9D%B8-%EB%B3%B4%EB%B3%B4%EA%B2%BD%EC%8B%AC-%EB%A0%A4-0/?page=2099 The amazing 2017 Criminal Minds: Korea, a procedural-crime-action television series which is based on the U.S. series, starring Lee Joon Gi as a SWAT officer (EOD)-Violent Crimes Unit Investigator-NCI profiler, is written by Hong Seung Hyun and directed by Yang Yoon Ho and Lee Jung Hyo. According to Dramabeans, the latter ‘…left the production right before the show started airing. The reason for the departure has been explained as “creative differences” between PD Lee and drama production company Taewon Entertainment.’ When Criminal Minds Korea premiered in 2017, comparisons to its American counterpart was inevitable. What they didn't expect was Lee Joon Gi. As Kim Hyun Joon, Lee didn't just step into an existing mould; he carved out a new one. Kim Hyu Joon is an original creation - part bomb squad veteran, part police officer, part profiler and part haunted rebel. The Korean adaptation borrowed the frmawork of the U.S. BAU but created Kim Hyun Joon as an original character to better showcase action and emotional drama. The nearest U.S. equivalent of Kim Hyun Joon is Derek Morgan portrayed by Shemar Moore in the original Criminal Minds. Derek Morgan serves as the muscular heart - an ex-bomb tech who provides brawn with a tender streak. Kim Hyun Joon shares that DNA but is dialled up in intensity. Where Morgan is steady and protective, Kim Hyun Joon is volatile, raw and combustible. His action sequences are filmed like mini-thrillers. Lee Joon Gi’s acting and action performance in Criminal Minds Korea is nothing short of amazing but his spectacularly exciting ROOFTOP CHASE SCENE was removed from the 2017 police-procedural-crime television series. No reason has been given for the cut. It is very shocking to Lee’s fans and the global audience. The iconic scene sees Lee Joon Gi as Kim Hyun Joon, a police detective, chasing a petty criminal across several rooftops and finally arresting him. The pivotal adrenalin-fuelled scene was summarily removed.
The scene was supposed to be placed as the ending of Episode 1 because the original scene in Episode 2 has the petty criminal seated in the police station waiting to be questioned by the police. It is suspicious that the scene showing the petty criminal at the police station has also been removed. It is unreasonable that such an amazing scene involving the leading actor should be removed. Lee Joon Gi’s 2017 breathtaking Criminal Minds Korea rooftop chase-leap scene is similar to Tom Cruise’s scene in the 2018 Mission Impossible: Fallout. Cruise’s leap is ICONIC. But Lee Joon Gi’s chase, if had aired first, would have been the ‘Korean answer’, proving K-dramas could match Hollywood thrills. Lee’s high-octane jaw-dropping scene predates Cruise’s amazing leap. The sequences are structurally identical, involving a high-stakes rooftop chase, building to building leap, actor rolls fluidly on landing and continues pursuit. Both Criminal Minds Korea and Mission Impossible: Fallout were distributed by Paramount Pictures. Cutting a stunt-heavy scene by Lee Joon Gi, known globally for his action mastery has wasted his unique strength as an actor. Lee Joon Gi has martial arts black belts in Taekwondo (4th Dan), Hapkido and Taekkyeon. He is also skilled in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Chinese Wing Chun, Thai Kickboxing, Parkour and so on. He is known as ‘The Actor Who Fights Like A Stuntman.’ Lee’s method of portrayal is unique; he throws his body and emotions into action. The movements of South Korea’s top action star are fast, fluid and precise. His martial arts background is visible in every move. His leap is balletic and he lands with a roll and pops up instantly. Criminal Minds U.S. isn’t about stunts or martial arts-level chases. It is cerebral and procedural. If Lee Joon Gi delivered an action spectacle, it could overshadow the original brand. Was Lee Joon Gi’s action flair reined in so that the Korean Criminal Minds would not be a showcase that might rival the original Hollywood Criminal Minds? If the rooftop scene had aired, it could probably have been a breakout moment for the Korean remake to overshadow the US series. In 2019, Vagabond also featured a rooftop chase. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uol-ls72GHg There’s a strong female lead. Seo Ye Ji’s Ha Jae Yi is not a sidekick but a sharp, opinionated partner equal to him professionally. Their partnership feels like a duel and a romance all at once. Lee Joon-gi’s Bong Sang-pil is witty, sensual, cerebral, physical — but above all, romantic. Bong Sang Pil is both cerebral and physical – that’s the beauty of Lee Joon Gi in Lawless Lawyer. Cerebral: Bong is sharp, calculating and always several moves ahead.
He studies his enemies like a chess player, setting traps in court. His ability to find loopholes makes him lethal in the courtroom. He knows when to hold back like a coiled spring and when to strike with words or his fists. Physical: Bong is also an animal in motion. His martial arts background lets him fight with a raw streetwise energy – fluid kicks, unpredictable brutal punches, acrobatics that look both elegant and dangerous. Action choreography – The martial arts scenes are unusually good for a legal K-drama. They’re cinematic, often shot with dynamic camera movements, and highlight Bong Sang-pil’s different styles of fighting: rough but precise street-fighting style and dance-like fights – every kick or flip carrying elegance. Even violence becomes strangely magnetic when he performs it. Theme of “law vs. lawlessness” – It poses the central question: when the law is corrupt, do you break it to achieve justice? That moral tension gives depth beyond the action. The villians, Judge Cha Moon Sook and Ahn Oh Joo, are chilling and most terrifying. But, sometimes Ahn Oh Joo can be funny too. The titular character, Lawless Lawyer, is played by Lee Joon Gi. The comedic opening of the legal-action-romance television series shows Bong Sang Pil, the suave and sophisticated lawless lawyer recklessly driving his expensive sportscar along a road in Seoul. When flagged down by a corrupt traffic policeman, Bong hilariously flaunts his money. He nonchalantly exits his car and swaggers seductively and unhurriedly with hands in his pockets towards the policeman. His one hand in his pocket is a sign of casual dominance. You would think his steps are catlike. Lee Joon Gi doesn’t act sensual; he embodies sensuality. It’s in his physicality, his stillness and gaze. His sensuality draws the audience in, willingly or unwillingly.
His elegant aura and his swagger are not just style, it’s strategy. He never lets his enemies see him sweat. Everything he does is driven by very real, deep wounds – his mother and uncle’s cruel deaths. His calm, confident, defiant demeanour seems to be saying, ‘I know the law better than you. And I’m not afraid to weaponize it.'
In the courtroom, the lawless lawyer jabs his finger like a knife when making a point. Every gesture is a strike.
Bong Sang Pil’s Italian custom-made slim suits – sharp, perfectly-cut
are the armour of the outlaw lawyer. His clothes are worn like a second skin
and he moves elegantly and seductively in his expensive suits.
Bong Sang Pil, the titular Lawless Lawyer, has this magnetic
contradiction. He is, in fact, a paradox. The intriguing man is both an outlaw
and lawyer; he is violent - yet just, arrogant - yet righteous. Bong Sang Pil, when young, was trained in different types of martial arts to be tough and stoic. When he does cry – in moments when he recalls the way his mother or uncle was murdered, he cracks under the weight of injustice. K-drama often paints male tears as either noble or pitiful. Lee Joon Gi makes it human and terrifyingly vulnerable. Lee Joon Gi balances charisma, wit, and intensity. His Bong Sang-pil is not a typical stiff courtroom lawyer; he’s stylish, unpredictable, humorous and has real fighting skills. The show itself and the direction is stylish – from imposing courthouse shots to beautiful lights in the shipyards, it has a slick, almost graphic-novel quality. Lawless Lawyer feels more than just a K-drama – it’s a rush of adrenaline and emotion packed into one. One moment, you are in a courtroom, and the next you are thrown into a thrilling nightclub fight with a kind of grace that feels like a dance. Lawless Lawyer is not only a courtroom drama but also an action thriller, and a character study - all wrapped up in Lee Joon Gi’s larger-than-life performance. What makes Lee Joon Gi as Bong Sang Pil unforgettable is that the cerebral and physical aren’t separate in him – they merge. He doesn’t just portray a lawyer; he lives the role like a wild, wounded soul who uses both his fists and his brain to chase justice. He has this raw charisma - the smirk, the intense eyes, the way he moves in a fight, but also the vulnerability when he remembers his mother. You can’t look away from him, because he, with brain and body working as one, makes every scene feel alive, like something dangerous or heartbreaking could happen at any moment. Lee Joon Gi’s Bong Sang Pil is not only a realistic lawyer but a legendary one. He shows us the kind of courage we wish existed in the real world. The 2020 TVN Flower of Evil is a masterclass in suspense, mystery,
romance and emotion. Lee Joon Gi who plays Do Hyun Soo and Baek Hee Sung is
hauntingly brilliant - a man in a mask of sanity hiding a dark past. Lee delivers an award-winning, haunting performance, portraying a man
living behind a mask of normalcy while a fractured, dangerous past simmers
beneath. His ability to switch between tender family man, frighteningly cold
suspect, and broken, traumatized soul is extraordinary. Lee’s every glance, pause, and gesture drips with tension. And he keeps
viewers on the edge of their seats, blending suspense, emotion, and moral
complexity. Lee Joon Gi’s crying scenes, especially when Hyun So begins to feel
emotions he once thought he couldn’t, are raw melodrama. Many critics and
audiences see it as one of his career-defining performances. Moon Chae Won delivers an equally nuanced performance, portraying a wife
caught between trust and suspicion, love and fear and a detective who slowly
uncovers the truth. Their chemistry carries the series’ emotional weight,
making each revelation strike with devastating impact. Kim Cheol Kyu, honoured with a Best Director award, crafts every scene
with cinematic precision - shadows, reflections, and framing intensify the
suspense and psychological depth. Written by Yoo Jung Hee, the series isn’t just a thriller - it’s a
psychological exploration of identity, trauma, and the moral ambiguities of
love and survival. Do Hyun Soo, with Lee Joon Gi in the leading role, is one of
the richest and most layered K-drama characters of the last decade. He’s
deliberately written as a paradox - someone who seems cold, even inhuman, but
is actually desperately human. What makes Flower of Evil unforgettable is that it’s really a melodrama
in disguise. The murders and secrets drive the plot, but the centre of it is a
heartrending love story. The series will grip you, haunt you, leave you
emotionally devastated and thinking long after the final scene. This is a series that resonates globally, combining universal themes,
masterful acting, and meticulous storytelling. It’s a must-watch for anyone who
loves psychological thrillers, morally complex characters, and cinematic
K-drama at its finest.
In short, if you want a series that is emotionally gripping,
psychologically rich, and cinematic in every detail, Flower of Evil is
essential viewing. LEE JOON GI AND HIS GLOBAL FANS There are stars, superstars and then, there are global superstars. Lee Joon Gi is not just a global superstar but also the global Hallyu superstar. Lee Joon Gi fulfilled his promise to dance when the SBS drama Again My Life reached a 10% viewership rating, which it did in the 9th episode on May 6, 2022, achieving 10.1% ratings. He performed a dance cover of PSY and BTS's Suga's song ‘That That’ to celebrate the drama's success. The Production Presentation or Production Conference was attended by Lee Joon Gi, Kim Ji Eun, Jung Sang Hoon, Kim Jae Kyung and Director Han Chul Soo. Director Han Chul Soo emphasized that, ‘Lee Joon Gi is the best and only choice for the role of Kim Hee Woo in Again My Life.' He was obsessed with the idea that Lee Joon Gi was the right actor for the lead role and had refused to give up even when Lee rejected his offer the first time round. The director is not only impressed with Lee Joon Gi's brilliant on set performance for the past six months but also with his impeccable manners and congenial personality. 'Because of him we have so much fun on the set.' Lee's spectacular screen presence, good working attitude, positive personal attributes and enthusiastic on-set influence must have convinced the director that he has made the right choice in casting him for the role. There was loud applause from the press. ‘Again My Life’ is a strong, evocative title – clear and thematically aligned with the story’s core premise. The word ‘Again’ signals repetition or resurrection, while ‘My Life’ personalizes the story - it’s intimate, emotional, and stakes-driven. Again My life isn’t just about one man living again. It symbolizes second chances, universal human hope and rewriting destiny. Wronged and erased by corruption, Kim Hee Woo is given a second chance at life by the Grim Reaper dressed in red - and a chance to outwit the system that betrayed him. Again My Life is a tense, cerebral thriller of justice, strategy, and moral reckoning, where every move is a high-stakes gamble and every decision could change the course of a nation. THE FIGHT SCENE ON A SPECTACULAR FIGHTING RING Watching Again My Life is an incredible experience. The series is UNIQUE and astonishing. What is unusual and intriguing about Kim Hee Woo, a prosecutor from The Future, is that he morphs into his younger self. It is almost an impossible task for any actor to morph into his younger self and behave like one but the amazing 40-year-old Lee Joon Gi, The Actor with a Thousand Faces, has done it with his body language, his facial and eye expressions and the way he speaks. Kim Hee Woo, who was in his thirties when he was murdered, goes back about 15 years to the past. Lee is comparable to the Turritopsis Dohrnii or immortal jellyfish which can rejuvenate itself. The transformation is amazing. Lee Joon Gi, the lead is fully inhabiting a
man who is simultaneously calculating, passionate, and morally nuanced. Every
expression, especially in high-stakes courtroom and investigation scenes,
conveys a layered intelligence and emotional complexity. He goes back 15 years
in time and he is able to portray youth with his body language, facial and
expressions and tone. Before his murder, Kim Hee Woo was naïve yet
determined; he believes that the law alone can serve justice. There’s a strong
sense of righteous anger, but also frustration at systemic injustice. His life
is precarious, threatened by the very forces he seeks to expose. Would he
change into a monster?
That depth makes him unusually
compelling for a lead in a legal thriller. Kim Hee Woo, who is larger than
life, is the most multitalented of all K-drama characters of all time. A
hero whose multiple intelligences, emotional depth, and moral complexity rival
the best heroes in television worldwide. This is what makes Again My Life unique
among K-dramas: Kim Hee-woo is not your typical hero. He isn’t just a fighter
or prosecutor, he’s a complete human intelligence system, a Renaissance
Hero like Leonardo da Vinci, The Renaissance Man, but in a modern-fantasy
courtroom. Kim Hee Woo, a brilliant, morally
complex man, embodies all nine of Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences,
which makes him an extraordinary, a fantastical K-drama protagonist. Again My
Life is a fantasy television series after all.
The fact that Kim Hee Woo is the top student of the academy which prepares student to enter the best university means that he is excellent at mathematics. Since Mathematics is an important requirement for entry into Hankuk University and he is accepted into the university, it also implies that he is good at Mathematics. Kim Hee Woo also graduated at the top of his Law training class. if he doesn't have logical-mathematical intelligence, then who has? Law Professor Min Byung Sun, who questioned the students on the Civil Code, was impressed by Kim Hee Woo's detailed answer.
Moreover, Kim Hee Woo also dissects and analyses Cho Tae Sub’s
empire, breaking down its networks, dependencies, and vulnerabilities.
Every move he makes is calculation and foresight.
His Logical Intelligence that propels him to be a Chess Master
strategist who could finally dismantle Cho Tae Sub’s empire.
With his Linguistic Intelligence, he uses rhetoric and persuasion
to recruit allies and win cases in court.
As a prosecutor, he wields words like weapons - in court, in
interrogation rooms, in persuasion of
allies and even when befriending enemies.
He tailors his speech to each audience, whether intimidating
criminals or charming people he respects, like Woo Yong Soo, a real estate
tycoon, who later mentors him on real estate investments.
Kim Hee Woo’s Spatial Intelligence plays a role in the solving of a murder case. Driven by his strong sense of justice, he personally investigates the murder case involving Lee Ju Suk, a medical student who is wrongfully accused of murdering his pregnant girlfriend. The diligent prosecutor personally goes to survey the murder site, analyses the crime scene and reviews the CCTV footage. Using spatial reasoning, he mentally reconstructs the sequence of events, visualising the confrontation between Lee Ju Suk and his girlfriend. By integrating these mental images with the actual evidence from the scene and the surveillance cameras, Kim Hee Woo is able to identify the real perpetrator. His ability to manipulate and analyse visual-spatial information leads him to capture the psychopathic murderer and secure Ju Suk’s acquittal.
The intelligent prosecutor has the uncanny
ability to visualize the 'map' of corruption and see the grand architecture of
power and evil that evades the notice of others. His bodily-kinesthetic skills, that is, martial arts, are so
developed that in fights with his foes, his body itself becomes a weapon.
His martial arts are breathtaking - he embodies control, speed,
and creativity in combat.
He uses his body as much as his mind to achieve justice. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CY-edsJsaOZ/?utm_medium=copy_link The actor says: ‘Need to stretch before filming’
While not overtly a musician, the rhythm of Kim Hee Woo’s strategies and fights shows a deep sense of timing. Kim Hee Woo’s life itself has rhythm - from the pulse of investigations to the tempo of revenge.
On realising that he could not catch Cho Tae Sub using legal means, Kim Hee Woo decides to resign. What he is about to do would be a contradiction to his oath. Jeon Seok Gyu, the new Chief Prosecutor knows that Kim Hee Woo has a mission to accomplish; his younger colleague has to sacrifice the prosecution job that he loves in order to go head-to-head with Cho Tae Sub in politics. Kim Hee Woo knows the beat of life, the rhythm, pace and speed of his mission and keeps in step with it. He is dancing to the beat of his own drum – to his principles and intentions which he puts into action, for example, in his rescue of Kim Han Mi and prevent her from being molested. PROBLEMS PARENTING FAILURE THE LACK OF A POSITIVE MALE ROLE MODEL THE BULLYING CULTURE AN UNJUST AND CORRUPT SOCIETY He builds alliances across social classes - students, martial
arts experts, business tycoons, wayward prosecutors and politicians. He reads people well, knowing exactly how to motivate or
manipulate them.
He has profound self-awareness: he
knows his weaknesses, controls his impulses, and channels his rage into
patience.
His second life only amplifies his
self-knowledge, giving him the rarest edge.
He also realises that he cannot allow
a romantic relationship to ruin his very important mission so he refuses to
encourage the friendship of Kim Hee Ah until much later. Kim Hee Woo understands nature, danger in the environment, and is
able to analyse problems in the environment. He researches about the
natural environment and understands how man-made structures affects it. When he was younger, he had even given advice to Kang Min Seok, an
upright and righteous lawyer, to help him win his legal case against
environmental destruction. Kang represented some environmentalists who were
against the Cheonha conglomerate’s plan to raze Mt. Cheongpung to
build a resort.
Possessing Existential Intelligence, the prosecutor lives with
the awareness of mortality and the weight of his second chance. Having died once, he contemplates life, death, justice, morality,
fate, and the meaning of a second life.
His revenge is not just practical but philosophical: what
does it mean to live rightly, to use a second chance, to fight corruption that
feels just? Must he become a monster to acheve justice? Even with a second life, foreknowledge, wit and cunning, and all
the Multiple Intelligences, Kim Hee Woo cannot ‘fix’ everything. Every viewer knows the same frustration - the world
cannot be fixed perfectly. Watching Kim Hee Woo, one is reminded of
the human condition itself: our yearning for justice, knowing it will
never be complete. Every time someone brave strikes injustice or corruption
down, it grows back in another form.
Kim Hee Woo fights battles of corruption and
injustice, some of which he cannot win, yet he must fight them to remain human.
