KIM HYUN JOON
VERSUS
THE REAPER’S CLONE

The Reaper had produced a killer like himself; he had cloned himself.

Kang Chi Hwan, the young murderer, had abducted his victim and fled from the NCI profilers and other law enforcement agents. He was finally trapped in an eatery.

Brandishing his flick-knife triumphantly, Kang Chi Hwan made his intention clear; he was going to slit his hostage’s throat and to tear the life out of her.

‘Kang Chi Hwan. Calm down. Let her go and let’s talk.’ Kim Hyun Joon slowly placed his gun on the ground.

Holding the girl captive with the knife to her throat, Kang Chi Hwan sneered arrogantly at Kim Hyun Joon. The unstable fellow was evidently relishing the moment of defeating the profiler.

‘Don’t try to trick me!’

Hesitation on the profiler’s part meant death for the young girl. The profiler eyes only lingered on the perpetrator for the briefest of moment.

With a huge mighty cry, Kim Hyun Joon leapt forward but was stopped by Kang’s knife. Ha Sun Woo had appeared.

Kim Hyun Joon reached out for his retractable baton, not from inside his suit jacket but from behind him.

Whipping it out, he began swatting at the assailant. His movements were unerringly swift and precise. The knife fell out of the suspect’s grasp.

Kim Hyun Joon had sprung like a wild cat, hurtling himself towards the young copycat killer.

Kang Chi Hwan did not have time to back away. And, in the wink of the eye, the young man’s legs buckled and he was crawling on the floor.

The profiler grabbed the girl and pushed her out of the way.

Before the youngster could rise properly to his feet, the profiler gave him a whirlwind kick and he fell to the floor again.

The young criminal’s desperate hurling of a drum stool was followed by the flipping over of the table. But Kim Hyun Joon was nimble on his feet; he ducked them, including the flying object. He was prepared for all violent tactics of the killer.

They were both in their fighting stance. Menacing but cool, the profiler lunged at him. A wrestling match ensued.

In an impressive display of masculine power, Kim Hyun Joon overpowered the younger man and threw him onto a table, which subsequently overturned. The young criminal rolled down and landed on the floor with a thud.

Pinned down by muscular arms, the dazed but unfazed young criminal was rendered defenceless. It was easy for the profiler to handcuff him. The athletic and agile profiler had taken out the young suspect in the blink of an eye.

Kang Chi Hwan had not expected his plan to go awry. Though his scuffle with the law enforcement agent was not in the fanfiction, the demented young man was unshaken.

In fact, he was seized by a sudden laughing fit.

The young monster narrowly missed capture. When Kim Hyun Joon dragged the killer out, he had a glimpse of The Reaper. The Reaper had probably dropped in to vicariously enjoy the thrill of the crime.

On noticing The Reaper, Kang Chi Hwan gave him a knowing look and a fiendish grin.
