A SEXY ECLECTIC STYLE
 
A seismic shift in men’s fashion is obvious in Lee Joon Gi’s Marie Claire’s fashion shoot for the July 2017 issue. Change is in the air. If there is one thing that Lee Joon Gi does not need in his fashion style, it is anything that smacks of timidity. His Marie Claire eclectic and sexy look is unique, bold, beautiful, striking, dramatic and incredibly stylish. And, nature abounds in the Marie Claire shots. My, does he not look stunning!
In the first fashion image, as in the rest of the images, Lee blends contrasting styles into one. He flaunts a black, long-sleeve funky Valentino jacket with a black and white striped collar, a groovy black Window00 cowboy vest and a grey lightweight Hermes scarf with black piping. The look is completed with a pair of blue denim jeans and a bright red belt.
The black jacket is striking. A wide red band runs along the whole length of the sleeves. The serpentine design spells change as the serpent is the ancient symbol of renewal and transformation. And, temptation. Think of the energy emitted from the hissing wild animal species.
On each side of the cowboy vest is a flapped patch pocket which is lined with yellow frills. The vest is matched with a pair of stylish black pointed toe leather boots.
The sight of the gorgeous and smouldering Lee Joon Gi in his glorious, dynamic and sexy look would surely elicit gasps and indrawn breaths from adoring women! Men who do not imitate Lee Joon Gi’s compelling style would unquestionably do themselves a disservice.

MEN'S FASHION REDEFINED  
Is that gorgeous, sexy and dreamy man racing with the wind or floating in a sea of fluffy and cottony reeds in the heart of the South Korean wetlands?
In the Marie Claire image, Lee unleashes his dynamic style by matching his Etro maroon striped-jacket with a pair of dark purple Valentino pants. He flashes a glimpse of the striking floral lining of his jacket as the jacket sways and swirls in tandem with his body. The diverse colours of the lining match the colours of his jacket and pants.
The jacket is worn over a sky blue and white All Saints short-sleeve shirt. Accessories add charm to Lee’s look. They include a Saint Laurent silver buckle belt and Bulletto trinkets - necklaces and bracelets.
The striking colour and style combinations of his ensemble contrast with the gloomy skies and pale reeds. And, the total effect is bedazzling!
Men’s fashion has diversified. The idea that monochrome jacket linings is the one and only effective style for men is outdated. Colourful patterns, even those inspired by nature, are no more the exclusive domain of women. There is, at present, a blurring of men’s and women’s fashions. There are endless possibilities of adding women’s fashion to men’s styles.
Now, that Lee has shown the way, every male can take risks and wear diverse mix-and-match fashion styles including jackets with colourful linings without any embarrassment.

LIBERALISING MEN'S FASHION
   
In yet another image, Lee Joon Gi takes on the world with another gutsy and attention-catching colourful male clothing ensemble. This is the coming together of fashion and nature. Wearing a stunning jacket in rich reddish colours - maroon, orange and brown, Lee poses against similarly coloured seismic rocks, and the pale, grey skies.
Imagine a beautiful jacket pattern which is adorned with a mix of butterflies and flowers. A daring style for men. The design which is inspired by the flora and fauna of nature is a far cry from the usual masculine one-colour jackets. Bright colours and loud patterns are in.
The colourful jacket is worn over two shirts - a patterned shirt and a navy blue zippered shirt. It is teamed with a pair of navy blue cuffed cargo shorts. His maroon socks and shoes match the rich tones of the jacket. The contrasting styles brighten up the look and lift the wearer out of the crowd.
The infiltration of women’s conventional patterns and colours into men’s fashion has led to the seismic shift in men’s fashion. The move towards changing the face of men’s fashion equates the liberalisation of fashion.
Some modern men’s fashion trends are fashion transgressions. Ridiculous and horrendous. Don’t raise an eyebrow. But the sexy, new eclectic style of Lee Joon Gi is vastly different altogether. Mesmerizing and Captivating. A huge contrast.

CANVAS ALIVE
Lee Joon Gi’s pose with his sexy bare legs dipped into the sea of reeds is spectacular and breathtaking. This composition speaks of a vibrant moment when the canvas of nature comes alive, leaving an indelible mark on one’s memory. The camera focuses on Lee Joon Gi in a contemplative moment as he stands in the great expanse of the apple-green wetlands. Nature vibrates and breathes.
Lee wears a Prada long-sleeve collared pattern shirt which is awashed with geometric motifs. Miniature yellow parallelograms and black triangles dominate the shirt. The black cuffs of the shirt sleeves match the black facing of the shirt. His eye-catching Gimseoryong Homme mid-thigh copper shorts has a satiny sheen which flatters his legs. He teams his look with Thomas Sabo accessories - a necklace, and a few bracelets and rings.
Who says men cannot wear long-sleeved collared shirts with shorts? The fashion forward Lee Joon Gi goes against the grain of conventional fashion. It’s an earth-quaking moment. The result: An utterly sensual and scrumptious Lee Joon Gi. None is to be blamed if one’s imagination works overtime.
