Lee Joon Gi, the globally renowned and popular megastar, has recently been spotted filming with Carrie Wong, a Singaporean Mediacorp artiste, in various locations in Singapore. Probably bound by his contract, Lee Joon Gi has largely kept silent about his filming project. It has been two and half years since his last television series, The Sword of Aramun.

The multihyphenate’s performance is nothing short of jaw-dropping in the astonishing 2023 masterpiece, The Sword of Aramun. Praised widely by both local and international media, Lee Joon Gi stands head and shoulders above his contemporaries. His dual portrayal of Aramun and Saya, the identical twins, is a master class in acting, action and sheer screen presence. Fast-paced and action-packed The Sword of Aramun has rightfully earned its reputation as 2023’s finest television series.

Carrie Wong, nicknamed The TV Sweetheart, has a fear of ‘heights and horror movies. Standing at 1.75 m (5’ 7”), Wong is slightly shorter than Lee Joon Gi who is 1.78 m tall (5’ 10”).

Curiosity has driven some international fans, who had assembled in Seoul for the 20^th anniversary celebration of The King and The Clown on 30 November, to wait for Lee Joon Gi’s return to South Korea.

On 2 December, at the Incheon International Airport, some international fans tried to coax some information out of Lee Joon Gi about his latest filming project.

Lee, being very cautious, was not drawn to go into detail about his filming activities. When asked about how many projects he was working on, he was evasive.

However, he revealed some juicy snippets of information.

He is having fun filming the present project. ‘It’s fun! It’s getting more interesting now.’

He was reported to have revealed that ‘… they have not started filming in Korea’. He would let his fans know as soon as the production team had decided.

When probed further, he disclosed that the filming project which started in Singapore would continue in Korea. He didn’t make the decisions but he would let them know when it has been decided.

One piece of juicy news was sheer delight to his fans as he confided that they would be filming ‘… in several countries.’ International fans, of course, hope that he would film in their countries too. Which are the countries?
