Tangerines' was crowned Daesang, with IU (Lee Ji Eun) grabbing the 'Best Actress' and the 'Popular Star' awards at the Blue Dragon Awards recently, her longtime
friend and former co-star, Lee Joon Gi lost no time in congratulating her.
After all, they share about a decade of deep friendship, after becoming co-stars
in the unforgettable and heartbreaking 2016 globally-loved masterpiece, Moon
Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. The duo bonded in the world of spotlight and public
scrutiny and have been supporting each other in many ways in their careers.
     The Blue Dragon Awards night
was a victory for IU who had received the Best Drudge award (whatever it
means) for her role as Hae Soo, the Goryeo court lady, in the 2016 SBS Awards
show. Lee Joon Gi fared no better; he was robbed off the top awards despite his phenomenal acting and action performance which has
not only awed the global audience but also reduced them to tears. The
heartbreak leaves the audience aching with a longing that refuses to disappear.
Lee Joon Gi received the Hallyu Star Award, the Top 10 Stars Award, and the
