  Lee Joon Gi’s appearance on Naver NOW saw a spike in global traffic
and fan comments on the night of 17 April 2021. It was the perfect ending to Lee’s
dramatic 40th Birthday-cum-20th Debut Anniversary
celebrations, which involved not only his local but also his global fandom. The nearly
4-hour show was the megastar’s gift to his fans for their passion and
selfless dedication as well as their enormous generosity in making his
birthday this year even more joyous and special than those of the previous
years. Lee’s hosting skills, as in his previous Dream One Naver NOW, were
impeccable.   
The slight intermittent blackouts caused by the massive traffic
overload, however did not interfere with the audience’s obvious enjoyment of
the show as Naver was well-prepared and handled the situation admirably. The
studio was adorned with colourful birthday decorations. There was even a cute
plastic piece that looked like a cake with candles.  The huge excitement and interest generated by Lee Joon Gi’s presence in the show became considerably feverish when his good friend, Lee Ji Eun (IU), made a surprising 'visit' to celebrate the occasion with him. Fans of the Lees listened with mounting excitement as the two superstars chatted candidly about the possibility of a long-awaited reunion, raising the hopes of many fans. The duo reminisced about their memories of the unforgettable 2016 Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, the historical drama of all time. The fans, who have been waiting for another collaboration, couldn’t suppress their excitement. It got more thrilling when the pair praised each other to the skies. The network was swamped by a torrent of comments from fans from all over the world.

Lee Joon Gi Live Mini Concert The audience had another surprise treat. A mini concert. Another
of Lee Joon Gi’s friends, Lim Hyun Jun, visited. The musician’s physical
presence and his wonderful keyboard music provided an exciting band-cum-party
feel to the atmosphere. Lim played a couple of fan favourites and the
actor-singer sang cheerfully and beautifully despite suffering from a sore
throat.

ceremony will be held on 13 May 2021.
