RUSSIAN FANS

Updated
8 August 2020

Lee's Russian fans sent him a ginormous bouquet of beautiful red roses and a cute teddy bear to show their support for his new Korean drama, 'Flower of Evil'.

Lee Joon Gi thanked his global fans for giving him so much love and support.

Kim Jongdo, the President of NamooActors, Lee Joon Gi’s agency, had also taken to Instagram to thank Lee’s global fan union, LJGGFSP, for supporting Flower of Evil.

The global superstar has always been lavished with global love and support. Whenever Lee Joon Gi has a concert in Seoul, the fans of each country would arrange for their own congratulatory stands with 'fan rice' at his concert site. If he has concerts in other countries, the fans would arrange for magnificent congratulatory flower stands or send him lovely bouquets of flowers and other gifts.

It is worth noting that Lee Joon Gi has a ginormous influence on his global fans. For his birthday, Lee's fans would perform meaningful charitable deeds for the poor and the needy including presenting them with ‘fan rice’ or rice bags, and all these are donated in Lee’s name. Fans from certain countries or cities might  even have their own unique environmental, social or charity programmes all of which are also carried out in Lee Joon Gi’s name.

Promotional advertisements for Lee Joon Gi’s projects were started by local fans before his military enlistment. Support including that from international fans was given on a massive scale when Lee entered the military in 2010. When he was discharged from the army in 2012, the scale was even greater. Advertisement support for his dramas and movies by his global fans continued with Arang and the Magistrate. Display stands were first used but the advertisements were taken to a creative level in 2016 with an advertisement placed on a bus in Hong Kong for Lee’s Chinese movie, Never Said Goodbye. In 2017, a thoughtful and heartwarming congratulatory advertisement was placed in the Hollywood Reporter for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Subsequently, the advertisements were taken to a new and sophisticated level with subway media walls and LED screen advertisements along highways. The 2017 Criminal Minds was promoted in this way. Such fan advertisements were continued for Lawless Lawyer in 2018. Lee did not have any drama projects in 2019.
