The first
promotional trailer for Again My Life, the most anticipated drama of 2022, was released on 9 December. The much-awaited trailer heralds the coming of a grand
masterpiece. It begins with Kim Hee Woo, played by Lee Joon Gi, in a
scene at the top of a hill which overlooks the capital city. Kim Hee Woo
says, ‘I had nothing to protect or nothing to lose’. He is probably
reminiscing about his previous life in which he, an idealistic prosecutor,
was embroiled in a rash and irrational struggle against the very powerful but
evil senator Jo Tae Sup. It was an easy choice as he had nobody to
protect after his parents met with a fatal accident involving a car driven
by Jo Tae Sup’s eldest son. Challenging such a powerful and ruthless politician who lacks a moral conscience is an impossible task. No crusader against horrific
crime except the truly brainy, cool, calm and collected would succeed. Kim
Hee Woo was too impulsive and foolhardy in his previous life. His rage level
was uncontrolled; he had too much testosterone. As expected, he was
pummelled, murdered and unceremoniously dumped into the sea.   In Again My Life, the combined political,
prosecution and business world is under siege. The future of the nation hangs
in the balance under the absolute control and domination of Jo Tae Sup and
his cronies. The hypocritical Jo Tae Sup, a human plague,
is not somebody whom you mess with. He strikes fear in his enemies and
opponents, many of whom are swiftly and savagely wiped out.  The vicious man hides behind a charade. He
knows how to play to the gallery in his political campaigns to win public
favour. Big fake smiles hang on his face as he waves to the adoring masses or when he tries to charm little children. What is hidden behind his mask is a dangerous animal who
should be locked up in a cage. The 42-year-old Kim Hee Woo (born
1980) is back to being 18. The plans he conjures up to fight Jo Tae Sup
stretches his imagination. His death in his previous life shapes him. He has
to manage his anger. He does not want to drop dead this time around. Humour
would be wonderful but physical training is even better.  To improve his strength and stamina, he goes
to gyms. His martial arts techniques greatly improve with regular kicking,
punching, shadow-boxing, doing push ups and running up public staircases. The
question is, ‘Are these enough?’ In one scene, Kim Hee Woo glimpses a crestfallen
young woman through a half-open door. It must be a tragic occasion. Was
this an event in his previous life but has lingered in his memory? His eyes betray a hint of sadness.    Another scene reveals Kim Hee Woo's humble background.
It shows him at home holding a message from his mother who has made bulgogi
(Korean grilled beef) for him. It is kept in the fridge and he is reminded to

desperate revenge has begun. It sparks your thinking. Is Again My Life
a revenge story? Isn’t it more of a law and punishment story than a revenge
story? Kim Hee Woo declares war on evil and lowlifes particularly, Jo Tae Sub,
who celebrates evil. The determined prosecutor promises, ‘I’ll definitely put you in hell with
my own hands.’           Kim Hee Woo is not narrow-minded
nor parochial; In his previous life, he had a personal goal to bring the ruthless
Jo Tae Sub to justice but being too rash, he had dug his own grave. In
his new life, while his goal has not changed, he has a bigger picture in
mind. But, this time, he would not end up as a big zero. He has better
insight and has changed his strategies. By the end of the tale, viewers have to
give this hunter credit for his success. Again My Life is a
tale about the restoration of law and justice in a nation whose citizens are 'mind-controlled
by criminals’. With Kim Hee Woo, there is hope and the nation is on

Again My Life is directed
by Han Chul Soo who is assisted by Lee Byeong-heon (screen adaptation) and
co-scriptwriters Jay and Kim Yul. The SBS drama, produced by Samhwa Networks and StudioS, will be released in the first
