  Lee Joon Gi’s passionate fans
from around the world congregated in the auditorium of Ewha Womans University
to watch his concert, ‘Joongi’s Day 2024 in Seoul: Spring Again’ on 11 May. It
was the first domestic concert in Seoul since 5 years ago after Delight Encore.
The multihyphenate treated the ecstatic audience to the performance of many of
his songs and also the covers of the OSTs from his famous television series as well as other popular songs. His sexy, silky-smooth dance moves, which some may brand as ‘killer
moves’, were at one point so libidinous that one was sure Lee has brought real sexy
and naughty back to the concert scene.    The unrivalled top Hallyu superstar, an object of desire who has touched many global hearts, might be
mistaken for a K-pop superstar as he has been treated like K-pop royalty. It seemed
like the event was an extended celebration of his birthday which falls on 17
April. Lee, who turned 42 this year, was bestowed with many generous gifts on
his birthday by his global fans and was further inundated with beautiful,
expensive presents for the event. Lee and his team were regularly treated to
scrumptious packed food and drinks, and sometimes sumptuous meals during their
preparations for the show. There were bus, truck, subway and billboard
advertisements for his birthday and his Seoul concert. Rice wreaths and flower stands
adorned the halls of the Ewha Womans University and colourful banners could be
seen along the streets leading to the uinversity. There was even a coffee shop
dedicated to him. It was an extraordinary concert and event.
  
Lee is South Korea’s top
entertainer and the most respected artiste-actor. The multi-faceted Lee, who has an innate gift for entertainment, had ushered in the
era of The Pop God and made his mark in the K-pop world since ages ago. He is considered the
most influential actor or artiste-actor icon of the twenty-first century. His iconc
status cannot be questioned.
 Expectations had risen high even before the concert began. The concert was punctuated with screams every now and then but deafening shrieks
exploded when Lee, attired in a glittering black jacket, danced sexily as he performed
the dance cover of BTS’ Jung Kook, 'Standing Next To You'. He shook and thrust his pelvis suggestively; his hips
swung sensuously from side to side. Sometimes his body took on a frantic quiver. It is a certainty that the man has
animal sexuality. Spectacular! Nobody can dance like Lee Joon Gi. The girls, who were all smitten with him, were completely in

Did the audience rise to their feet when he sang the song? ‘In My Heart’ from Flower of Evil (2020); ‘For You’ from Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016) and 'Foolish Love' (Time Between Dog and Wolf 2006) are some unforgettable OSTs that fans also love. Lee, The King of Saguek / Historical shows did a spectacular sword dance for his audience. His impressive list of sagueks includes his sensational multi-award-winning 2005 movie, The King and The Clown, and historical television series, Arang and The Magistrate (2012) and Joseon Gunman (2014) which got him the 'Outstanding Korean Actor Award' twice at the Seoul International Awards. The heartbreaking 2016 Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo earned him rave reviews from around the world and Taiwan KKTV's Best Actor Award. In The Sword of Aramun (2023), an amazing groundbreaking drama, the sterling actor powerfully portrays Eun Seom and Saya, identical twins of polar opposites, and showcases spectacular action moves.
Donning a brown leather jacket and denim jeans, he displayed his spectacular Sword Dance.
 It was not the first time - he has being performing it for umpteenth years for his birthday fan meets. But the 2024 sword dance performance was nothing short of amazing.

 Lee strengthened his bond with
his fans as they discussed several issues. Excitement gripped the audience when
an animated conversation went back and forth between the multihyphenate and his
fans.
When Lee discussed his next
television project, many probably sat up. Having a natural charm and charisma,
he bonded easily with his audience. His fans want him to do a fluffy,
light-hearted modern Rom-Com. He asked his fans earnestly - King or Chaebol
Chairman: Which do you prefer? They want him to play a Chaebol Chairman. A
Rom-Com. One would say: A Rom-Com story about a conglomerate with serious themes, of course and not
one of those asinine and inane romance stories.           MARRIAGE
Lee commented that his
biggest worry at the moment was not marriage but his next project. He promised
that his fans needn’t have to wait too long. Probably, he already has one project
waiting for him.

Lee reminisces the eighteen
years he has been in the music industry. He started his first fan concert in
2006 after his incredible 2005 movie, The King and The Clown. Lee must have
felt very lucky and grateful that there were many in the audience who had
attended that 2006 concert – they have all grown up with him and have been
travelling with him on his journey to global fame and stardom.

A MULTI-TALENTED CELEBRITY
Lee Joon Gi recalled being reprimanded by many senior actors for holding concerts. The conservative-minded older actors insisted that actors should only concentrate on acting. ‘How could an actor act like a singer?’ Their dinosaur mentality was outdated in a fast-changing world. Global fans are lucky that Lee believed in himself and continued honing his singing and dancing skills or else they would have been deprived of enjoying and watching the performance of such a multi-talented man. Lee thanked his fans for their support; it is because of them that he was able to do what he wanted to do.      TOGETHER WITH KYUNG BOK, THE LEADER OF HIS DANCING TEAM  Lee also thanked Kyung Bok,
the crew leader of his dance team for sticking with him for those 18 long
years. He considers him to be his ‘rock’.
