Jeju, South Korea Left: Top - Hawaii, USA (2016) Bottom - Okinawa, Japan (2018) Right: Top - Thailand (2019) Bottom - Macau, China (2020) Awesome! Of all the covers that Lee Joon Gi has done for The Star magazine, the cover image which was shot in Jeju, South Korea for the coming March issue is the most stunning. The picture grabs attention as the photographer has captured the dazzling beauty, true essence, spirituality and mutual love of the gorgeous superstar and his beautiful stallion. They are natural partners. It is picture perfect, and the quality of the enchanting image is comparable to the work of any professional equine photographers. The intelligent and elegant brown beauty might not be a
thoroughbred but he looks like equine royalty. The irregular star of the special
horse, which looks like a lion’s head, is connected to a thick stripe from the
forehead to the muzzle.
The fabulous chestnut
colour of Lee’s hair matches the colour of the stallion’s coat. The beautiful countenance of both man and his equine friend, with
their soulful dark eyes, is almost spiritually soothing and moving. Their
friendship, which lends a touch of magic to the image, evokes warm and fuzzy
feelings, and wins the hearts and minds of the viewers. The visual
storytelling inspires us to think deeply about the relationship between
humans and animals.
Lee’s global fans have already known that the warm and
affectionate multihyphenate has a natural affinity with horses. He has the
good fortune to have opportunities to ride horses ever since he stepped into
showbusiness so he is now an expert horseman.
Lee Joon Gi has partnered with different horses for numerous dramas
and a movie: The King and the Clown, Time Between Dog and Wolf, Iljimae, Arang and
The Magistrate, Gunman in Joseon, The Scholar Who Walks The Night and Moon
Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Time Between Dog and Wolf is the only
non-saguek. In one of the TV talk shows, Healing Camp, he rode
a white horse.

LEE JOON GI’S BRAND OF HUMOUR
Lee Joon Gi's interaction with his horse is hilarious. He must have been pulling someone's leg in the video clip. Raphael
is a boy's name of Hebrew origin meaning ‘God has healed’. Rafael is the Spanish version of that name.

LEE JOON GI'S AMAZING HORSE RIDING SKILLS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBbLOcxOOTs
Lee Joon Gi’s impressive equestrian and martial arts skills, and his genuine love for horses have been lauded by the various drama production teams with whom he had worked. The global audience is also in awe of The King of Sagueks. In the 2014 Kdrama Stars interview, the production crew have reported that Lee Joon Gi shows kindness and attention to the horses he works with even when he is not riding them. One crew member commented, ‘Even
the actors who specialize in martial arts are awed. It's also nice to see him
always with the horses during filming. He takes care of the horse so the horse
can do its best.’
The horse whisperer, himself, divulged that he talks and whispers a lot to his horses and that is the secret of controlling his equine partners.
In an allkpop interview in the same year, he confided, ‘I talk to the horses a lot, and
pet them all the time. Horse riding skills are important, but we need to also
trust each other. …… in traditional dramas, good action scenes come out only
when you can ride horses well, so I worked and practiced a lot.’
