 Lee Joon Gi, a global talent and master of visual communication, is also an exceptional storyteller. In a recent Instagram post, he shared a video capturing his filming activities and experiences in Singapore and South Korea. Without stating it directly, he conveyed to fans - who had long been waiting for updates - that his filming work had resumed in South Korea after a short break following his return from Singapore.  The video opens with Lee dressed in a simple black shirt, surrounded by a dark, understated atmosphere. It then shifts to scenes from Singapore: the scorching tropical sun, lush green trees, and crew members in shorts, T-shirts, and even sunglasses to shield themselves from the intense glare.         
From there, Lee transitions the narrative with a contrasting image of himself bundled in thick winter clothing, his neck wrapped warmly. The muted, sombre tones of the surroundings immediately signal a change in filming location. Cast and crew appear in heavy winter attire, clearly immersed in the freezing South Korean winter.
     
A sign reading “Sorry For The Inconvenience” - displayed in English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese - adds an intriguing layer. Its multilingual nature suggests a location popular with tourists from China and Japan, or perhaps hints at upcoming filming destinations in those countries. Still, the prominence of the Korean text subtly anchors the scene in South Korea. 
The video closes with a striking shot of Lee in a white turtleneck sweater, symbolizing purity, clarity, or winter itself.
 He appears to be holding what looks like a tarot card bearing the number eight - associated with action, progress, personal power, abundance, and accomplishment. In Chinese culture, the number eight is profoundly auspicious, symbolizing prosperity, wealth, and good fortune.  The visual arc is unmistakable: Lee begins in black and ends in white, a dramatic contrast that mirrors transition and renewal.
A highly sought-after actor, Lee now appears to be engaged in a cross-border, international filming project - an ambitious undertaking that promises diverse cultural settings, new scenery, and perhaps even language, dialect, or stunt training. It is, without question, an exhilarating period in his career. A multi-country production naturally carries broader global appeal, and given Lee’s track record of breaking box-office and popularity records, the project is poised to attract worldwide attention. His co-star is Carrie Wong, a Mediacorp artiste.
With his immense global following, Lee will continue to inspire 'set-jetting' - travel motivated by film locations. His on-screen worlds have repeatedly become real-world destinations for fans and tourists alike. This new project, too, will undoubtedly leave a lasting and far-reaching impact. |
